Sika Kenya to Co-Host First Artisans Skills Forum in Nairobi

Sika Kenya

Sika Kenya has partnered with Nation Media Group to host the inaugural Artisans Skills Forum, an initiative aimed at strengthening skills, validating expertise and creating professional growth pathways for artisans in Kenya’s construction industry.

The two-day forum will take place on March 17–18, 2026 at the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) offices on Commercial Street in Nairobi, running from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

The event will feature practical masterclasses designed to equip artisans with hands-on knowledge in key construction areas, including waterproofing solutions and building finishing, with a focus on tiling.

Officials from the National Construction Authority (NCA) will also be present to support the training sessions and facilitate accreditation for artisans who meet the required standards. This will allow participants not only to sharpen their technical skills but also to gain formal recognition of their expertise.

Organisers say the forum is intended to help professionalise the artisan workforce by providing structured training opportunities and linking practitioners with certification pathways that can enhance their credibility and employability within the construction sector.
