Leading paint manufacturer Basco Paints has launched the Duracoat Golf Masters Series 2026, a nationwide golf tournament series expected to be staged across several golf clubs in Kenya during the year.
The series was officially unveiled on 19 May at the Sarova Stanley during an event attended by officials from Kenya’s golfing bodies, club representatives, corporate executives and members of the media.
Among those present were Philip Ochola, president of the Kenya Golf Federation, Jonathan Marucha of the Kenya Golf Union, and Patricia Wangonga from the Kenya Ladies Golf Union. Representatives from Sigona Golf Club and VetLab Sports Club also attended the launch.
The launch comes as Basco Paints marks 50 years in business. Company Chairman Bipin Shah, Managing Director Kamlesh Shah and Sales and Marketing Director Mital Shah attended the event.
Corporate-sponsored golf tournaments have become increasingly common in Kenya, with companies using the events to strengthen brand visibility, networking opportunities and support for the sport’s development.
