The first homeowners at Muzi Salama, the affordable residential development within Tilisi in Limuru, are set to receive the keys to their new homes on August 1, 2026, marking a significant milestone for one of Kenya’s notable green housing developments.
Developed by IHS Kenya, Muzi Salama comprises over 200 contemporary two- and three-bedroom apartments designed to offer quality, sustainable living within the master-planned Tilisi community. The project has attracted strong interest from both owner-occupiers and investors seeking modern homes in a well-serviced urban environment.
The development forms part of Tilisi’s vision of creating a mixed-use, walkable community where residential, commercial and recreational facilities are integrated to enhance quality of life. Residents will have access to landscaped gardens, a clubhouse, a heated swimming pool, children’s play areas, a multipurpose court and other lifestyle amenities.
Muzi Salama has also been developed to EDGE green building standards, incorporating resource-efficient features that reduce energy and water consumption while lowering the long-term cost of home ownership. Its location, approximately 30 kilometres from Nairobi’s central business district, provides convenient access through the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway and the city’s major bypasses.
The commencement of handovers signals the successful completion of the project’s first phase and reinforces growing confidence in master-planned communities as demand continues to rise for well-designed, sustainable and accessible housing in the Nairobi Metropolitan region. For the new homeowners, August 1 will represent the beginning of life in a community built around convenience, connectivity and modern urban living.
