The Engineers Board of Kenya  (EBK) has published a Register of licensed professionals engineers (1,752), temporary professional engineers(10) and engineering consulting firms (115).

The board is urging engineers and consulting firms whose names are missing in the notice to comply with requirements for licensing. It will publish corrigendum by 30th April 2023.

In an earlier notice, EBK Registrar Eng. Margaret Ogai said the Board had consistently noted the illegal use of the title of “Engineer” or “Eng.” before persons’ names who are not registered by Engineers Board of Kenya as professional engineers or consulting engineers as provided under section 26 of Engineers Act 2011.

She reminded members of the public that The Engineers Act 2011 prohibits the use of the term “engineer” by unregistered or unlicensed persons and demanded that those doing so cease and desist impersonation.
