The State Department for Public Works in the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has announced the passing away of Architect Patrick Maina Gituthu. Until his death, the late Gituthu was assigned to the National Building Inspectorate.

In a statement, the Department said Arch. Gituthu died at Metropolitan Hospital after a short illness. Arch. Gituthu had worked in the Ministry for over 35 years.

“This is deeply shocking and saddening”, mourned a former colleague at the Department. “His demise comes a week after serving with him on an assignment in Bomet. He was charismatic and hardworking. Architect PM has left a lasting impression and a rich legacy”.
