Joseph Vögele AG has introduced the new SUPER 1800-5 X SprayJet, a Dash 5-generation spray paver designed to combine bitumen emulsion spraying and asphalt paving in a single pass.
The machine provides a maximum spray width of 8.25 metres, an increase of 2.25 metres over its predecessor, expanding its suitability for applications ranging from municipal roadworks to highway rehabilitation. It can also operate as a conventional paver with paving widths of up to 9.25 metres.
The SprayJet module features five spray bars and pulsed spray nozzles designed to deliver precise emulsion dosing, including at low application rates. An optional heater keeps small quantities of residual emulsion—less than 300 litres—at the required temperature, helping minimise material waste.
Powered by a 129 kW engine, the SUPER 1800-5 X SprayJet has a maximum paving output of 700 tonnes per hour. Vögele has also introduced its ErgoPlus 5 operating concept, SmartWheel controls, push-button commissioning through Paver Access Control, and optional lighting for night work.
Automation technologies including Grade Assist, AutoTrac and Smart Pave support profile, steering and paving-width control. Digital solutions such as WPT Paving and RoadScan enable real-time collection and analysis of paving and temperature data.
