Built environment professionals, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers gathered in large numbers for the highly successful KABCEC CPD Convention 2026 held at Broadwalk Mall in Nairobi on May 21 and 22, 2026.
Organized by the Kenya Association of Building & Civil Engineering Contractors, the two-day forum brought together key players from across the construction industry for technical presentations, product showcases and professional networking aimed at advancing knowledge and innovation in Kenya’s built environment sector.
The convention provided contractors and industry professionals with practical insights into the latest construction materials, technologies and site services shaping the country’s rapidly evolving construction landscape. Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with exhibitors showcasing a wide range of products and solutions tailored for the building and civil engineering sectors.
Leading paint manufacturer Crown Paints Kenya PLC served as the title sponsor of the event, underlining its continued commitment to supporting professional development and growth within the construction industry.
The convention also attracted strong participation from professionals seeking Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points. Attendees were eligible to earn 10 CPD points from the National Construction Authority (NCA), 10 points from the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), and 8 Professional Development Units (PDUs) from the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
A wide range of companies operating within the built environment sector exhibited during the event, including manufacturers, building material suppliers and service providers. The exhibition created an important platform for businesses to connect with contractors, consultants and decision-makers while showcasing new products and industry solutions.
